Looking back at my past blogs, I realized how narcissistic this blog is.. Everything revolves around ME. MY thoughts. MY shoutouts to people. Nothing that wanders outta the radius of me, myself and I.

This post, is NO exception. =P

The first debate I witnessed would be the Datuk Paduka Dr Hajjah Saleha Debate Cup 2003 at Help Institute. J was with me and I remember dragging that idiot YX along.. Can't rmb much except not knowing many there and having to put up with YX's bull. But all of that weren't important.

What was, would be when the debate started. They killed my dreams to be a lawyer. Right in front of me were 6 people who could thrash me in court at any given time or situation.. Their articulative intelligence stunned me. None of our gang were talking. No one in that room was, for that matter.
Even that unshuttable mouth was silent as powerful words overwhelmed the spectators. It was the kinda intensity that commanded your stillness out of reverence.. I knew our debaters had to be good to be in the semis, but.. I didn't expect them to achieved that level of maturity all by themselves.

It wasn't until recently that I saw in them something greater than their intelligence. Mrs Xavier, my lit teacher, was talking bout this ongoing Wira cup with the Seafield students. Me, being the only one not from Seafield there, listened quietly as they went on and on about their debate against SMKSU the next day. Shriv was begging the teacher to let her join the supporters, and everyone present was so enthusiastic and supportive of the team. To be fair to us, I was prob sitting with a buncha english elites and maybe half the population of Seafield don't realize what was going on either. But at least they had a whole vanful of hyper-enthusiastic supporters going to SU to scream of their lungs for the team.

And to think of that day at Help Institute. Only J, YX, me and the other two reserves were there. Aman had a whole row of supporters.
Things aren't as bad as then, now. At least we were given permission to watch them at Kuliah that day.

Two of these debators are my good friends. I know they don't need the school's support to achieve great things. This is not a campaign to recruit a cheerleading group for the CHS English Debate team.
This is just a small tribute to the independence of our debators, for their passion and perseverance in the field, and for the many silent victories, regardless of their significance, that they have attained.

So, yesterday, Harold told me the CHS English debate team had beaten their nemesis Sri Aman to clear through the first round of the Taylor's Cup.
Sri Aman is an excellent team, a tough hurdle to clear. How many knew or care for this important piece of victory?

I believe this time around, they will bring back the Cup. Just watch them.

Firstly here's my thanks to J, for inviting me to the beautiful convalidation of her parent, for showing me the living proof of Love defying all odds. For reliving my faith in high school romance.

And for being the fantastic friend you were, are and will always be.

This is the first time I celebrated 1402 with anyone.
Whole day was wonderful, n he was amazing.
From the very first glimpse of him at church
to his indifferent visage when the time calls for us to part

Thank you, Yeanz, for ur part in this conspiracy.

And to you, for being everything that you are.

A week since my last blog. No point blogging about school rite?

Not like anyone would miss my whinings.

I could call one of my galfrens up n whine. I know they would listen. But that'd be awfully selfish of me, wouldn't it? To call only when I need to.

So here I am.
Weather's serving my mood well. It's raining.

Inspirers in my life, and trivial strangers then..
itz amazing how quickly time revises roles
Changes, inherencies of passing time.
As much as I would like to, there's nothing in my power I can do to stop them.
They are for the better.
I gotta start believing that.
